Many of you probably know that Dave's cousin, Kelly and her family moved from Indiana to Baton Rouge this summer. They're only about an hour drive from us and their sons, Aidan and Evan are the same ages as our kids. Yeah for having family close by!
After Mass on Sunday, we took advantage of the beautiful day and met Kelly's family and Dave's Aunt Sharon (who's visiting from Indiana this week) in the French Quarter. We had lunch at the Oceana Grill and then walked to Jackson Square to enjoy the music and check out St. Louis Cathedral. From there, we walked to Cafe Du Monde for some beignets. The kids were restless, so we took our snack down to the Mississippi River to enjoyed our powdered sugar mess in the shade.
What a nice day catching up with family and letting the kids play together. They're really enjoying having their 2nd cousins (or whatever cousins' kids are called) nearby!
